Sodalite: From the top of the Andes Mountains in South
America, is the exotic and exclusive blue stone of
Sodalite. Sodalite is a rare semi-precious mineral. Its
color ranges from rich royal blue to light blue. It is often
veined with white calcite. Occasionally you will see faint
orange-red flecks that are sometimes pyrite or even
traces of real gold. This stone has been mined for more
than 500 years by the Incas
Sterling silver is a white, highly reflective precious
metal composed of 925 parts of pure silver and 75 parts
alloy, usually copper. Copper provides the silver with
sufficient hardness and wearing qualities, as pure silver
is sometimes considered too soft to be used or worn
everyday. Sterling silver is used in a wide variety of
jewelry for a beautiful polished look.

Sterling silver will tarnish over time. To clean, use a polishing cloth, commercial cleaner or sprinkle a fair amount of dry baking powder on a soft cloth. Rub carefully to avoid scratching stones or glass components. When done, shake the powder off. Care Recommendations:STONES We do not recommend the use of commercial cleaners on any of the gemstones offered through DM Design. Avoiding over-exposure to outdoor elements, such as sunlight and heat, will prolong the life of your stone. Periodic cleaning with extremely mild soapy water (lukewarm or cool) and polishing with a soft cloth can keep your gemstone beautiful for years.
